Om The Host

datumet för utsläppning på DvD:
Despite Twilight author Stephenie Meyer splattered all over posters for the release of The Host and despite a good cast featuring an interesting performance fromHanna actress Saoirse Ronan, the movie didn’t do so hot at the box office, barely making its $40 million budget back worldwide. I’ve already written about the reasons I feel this movie was likely doomed from its inception, but if you want to experience the film for yourself, you’ll be able to do so when The Host hits Blu-ray and DVD on July 9.The Host is set in the future on Earth, in a world that is now inhabited by an alien species who uses humanity as—you guessed it—hosts. Directed by Andrew Niccol, the film tales the tale of a brave young alien who is dealing with the voice of a young woman inside of her. Together they may find a way to change their fates and, potentially, to change the destinies of their races, while also dealing with the pressures and pains of young romance. What would a sci fi movie be without young love to supplement it?While Universal Studios Home Entertainment’s release of The Host will come with a few bonus features, if you are willing to give the film the shot or did enjoy it, this isn’t really the sort of film where all of the bells and whistles or even the HD picture is necessary. Having noted that, Universal is also putting together an early digital release that will be available to buyers beginning on June 25. If you are interested in a hard copy of the film, you can check out the full list of extras, below, or pre-order the set over at Amazon. The Host Blu-ray and DVD ExtrasDeleted Scenes“Bringing The Host To Life” Interview and behind-the-scenes segment“Seeker PSA” feature commentary
